During the late nineteen sixties and
early seventies, I worked in the Okavango Swamps in northern Botswana,
transporting food and equipment from a base camp on the Thamalakane River
outside Maun, to various island safari camps. I was also a canoe (makoro)
safari guide in the Boro River and the Ramunstanjani regions of the central
swamps.I have very fond memories of those early pioneering days!
