Los
Guardianes' de las Piedras 1' features a theme very fascinating for me,
both historically and mythologically. It is a subject to which I return
frequently in my paintings. I am in awe of the amazing amount of archaeological
evidence suggesting advanced techniques and skills exhibited by early
civilizations. My paintings, like this one, reflect symbolically fantastic
creatures which have survived till present times as myths and legends.
I also find somehow significant how often repeated or similar themes occur
in so many varied and different cultures in parts of the world, cultures
which have had no obvious contact with each other in the past.
