Dune 45 is a magnificent sand dune in
the Namib Desert. It is usual to pass this dune in the early morning on
the journey towards famous 'Sosusvlei' oasis. The profile and lines of
Dune 45 are singular and beautifully graphic. At dawn the vibrant red
is breathtaking. One may often be fortunate to see the striking long horned
gemsbuck typical of this part of the Namig Desert.
